About this tool
Many websites, marketplaces and application forms ask for images of a specific size, like 1080 × 1080 for social media or a maximum width of 1200 px. This tool lets you set exact dimensions or scale by a percentage.
With “Keep proportions” on, the image is fitted inside the width and height you enter so it is never stretched. Turn it off only when you really need an exact size regardless of shape.

Good to know
Batch resizing
When you resize several images by pixels with proportions kept, each one fits inside your box. A tall and a wide photo will both fit, without cropping.
Making images bigger
Enlarging is possible, but it can't create new detail, so very large increases will look soft. The safe limit is about 16 megapixels per image.
Frequently asked questions
Will resizing reduce the file size?
Making an image smaller in pixels almost always reduces its file size. Choosing JPG or WebP as the output saves even more.
What's the difference between pixels and percentage?
Pixels sets an exact target, like 800 px wide. Percentage scales the original, so 50% turns a 4000 px photo into 2000 px.
Why is there a maximum size?
Browsers — especially on phones — can only draw images up to a certain size in memory. We keep you within a safe limit so the page doesn't crash.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Resizing is done by your browser on your device.
